Alan has extensive experience in civil and criminal litigation.

 

Over the past 25 years, Alan developed a broad practice in the fields of complex commercial litigation, labor and employment litigation, criminal litigation, and investigations commenced by state and federal agencies. Alan represents individuals and companies and has successfully tried cases (civil and criminal) before juries in state and federal courts, as well as handled arbitrations and proceedings before administrative agencies.  

 

Alan has the highest Peer Review Rating of “AV” for ethical standards and legal ability which is awarded to less than 1% of lawyers and has been named as a New York Super Lawyer every year since 2012. 

 

Alan has authored articles in the New York Times and New York Law Journal on various legal subjects including civil and criminal law, and has lectured and taught legal education courses on New York civil practice and litigation. 

 

Alan began his legal career in 1998 as a law clerk to the Honorable John McLaughlin. In addition to his private practice, Alan served as a town prosecutor in Chappaqua, NY for several years.
